Accommodation: Block reservation deadline 21 September 2015
A room block has been arranged at the Delta Waterloo (https://www.deltahotels.com/Hotels/Delta-Waterloo) for the reduced rate of $149/night.
Travel funding support is being secured from several of our sponsoring institutions and will be targeted toward use by students/early career researchers and Indigenous participants. Priority will be given to participants who submit an abstract to present at the Forum. Participants with research support are expected to use their own funding. If you need funding, please contact the Local Organizing Committee (firstname.lastname@example.org) as soon as possible but no later than 31 August 2015. Please indicate in your request how you will benefit from participating in the Forum. We apologize in advance that the budget for grants is limited, as it may not be possible to fulfill all requests.
The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat provides a travel grant to early career researchers (doctoral or first-time postdoc) to participate in the Polar Data Forum. See http://polar.se/en/resebidrag-ung-forskare-till-polar-data-forum/ for further information and application details.
Updated 13 August: Please see the Practical Information page for details on excursions which may be taken in the Waterloo region, including Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Please note: Forum sessions will be photographed and recorded for online distribution. Attendees are advised that registration entails implicit consent to be included in the visual record of the Forum. If you wish not to be photographed or recorded, please contact us (email@example.com) or the photographers/videographers during the event.
